وزير المالية يختتم مشاركته في الاجتماعات السنوية لمجلس محافظي البنك الآسيوي للاستثمار في البنية التحتية

شارك معالي وزير المالية الأستاذ محمد بن عبدالله الجدعان، في الاجتماع السنوي الحادي عشر لمجلس محافظي البنك الآسيوي للاستثمار في البنية التحتية، والذي عقد يومي الاثنين والثلاثاء 17-18 ربيع الآخر 1448هـ الموافق 28-29 سبتمبر 2026م، في العاصمة القطرية الدوحة تحت عنوان: “البنية التحتية المستقبلية: الأثر والابتكار”.
وخلال مشاركته، أكد معالي الجدعان أن البنك أرسى أسسًا قوية، مع تحقيق تقدم الربط والتعاون الإقليمي، ومشاركة القطاع الخاص، مما يعكس قدرته المتنامية على الاستجابة لاحتياجات الأعضاء في مجال البنية التحتية.
وشدد على أهمية الأثر التنموي للبنك، موضحًا أنه “مع توسع البنك، ينبغي ألا يُقاس التقدم بحجم التمويل أو موافقات المشاريع فقط، بل بالأثر التنموي”، مؤكدًا أن “نجاح البنك يجب أن يتجسّد في خدمات بنية تحتية أفضل، ومؤسسات أقوى، ومرونة اقتصادية أكبر، ومشاركة أوسع للقطاع الخاص.”
ودعا الجدعان إلى تعزيز التواصل مع الدول الأعضاء، موضحًا أن الحوار المبكر يساعد البنك على فهم ظروف الدول، وفجوات وأولويات البنية التحتية، مع التأكيد على أهمية دعم البرامج متعددة السنوات المتوافقة مع الإستراتيجيات الوطنية.
واختتم معاليه كلمته بالحث على الشراكة، مشجعًا البنك على التعاون الوثيق مع بنوك التنمية متعددة الأطراف والمنظمات الدولية الأخرى لتبادل الخبرات، وتلافي الازدواجية، وتوفير موارد إضافية، كما أوضح أهمية أن يظل نهج البنك مدفوعًا باحتياجات كل دولة، أخذا بعين الاعتبارات التباين في القدرات المؤسسية، والمساحة المالية، وتطور البنية التحتية.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن المملكة تعد عضوًا مؤسسًا في البنك الذي أنشئ في العاصمة الصينية بكين في العام 2016م كمؤسسة تمويل إنمائية متعددة الأطراف.
Saudi Minister of Finance Concludes Participation atAIIB Annual Meetings
His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, participated in the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) held 28-29 September 2026in Doha, Qatar under the theme: Tomorrow’s Infrastructure: Impact and Innovation.
In his remarks, H.E. Aljadaan emphasized that AIIB has established a strong foundation, with progress in connectivity, regional cooperation, and private-sector participation, which demonstrates its growing capacity to respond to members’ infrastructure needs.
”As AIIB scales up, progress should be measured not only by financing volumes or project approvals, but also by development impact,” he said, stressing that the Bank’s success “should translate into better infrastructure services, stronger institutions, greater economic resilience, and increased private-sector participation.”
Minister Aljadaan called for strengthened engagement with member countries, highlighting that earlier dialogue would help AIIB understand each country’s circumstances, infrastructure gaps, andpriorities, while emphasizing the importance of supporting multi-year programs aligned with national strategies.
He concluded his remarks by urging greater utilization ofpartnerships, encouraging the Bank to have stronger cooperation with other multilateral development banks and international organizations to exchange expertise, avoid duplication, and mobilize additional public and private resources. He noted the importance of the AIIB’s approach to remain country-driven, recognizing differences in institutional capacity, fiscal space, and infrastructure development.
Saudi Arabia is a founding member of AIIB, which was established in the Chinese capital, Beijing, in 2016 as a multilateral development finance institution.
